DETECTIVES on a murder investigation want to speak to a cyclist who might have information on the fatal stabbing of a teenager in Stretford.

Kennie Carter died at Manchester Royal Infirmary from a stab wound to the chest after an attack on Thirlmere Avenue on January 22.

The attack was around the corner from the 16-year-old's home on Ennerdale Road.

To date, 14 teenagers have been arrested, of whom 10 remain under investigation.

Detectives now want to speak to a cyclist seen on CCTV in the area at around 6.30pm who might have witnessed the fatal stabbing or the moments either side of it.

Police stressed the man is not wanted in connection with the murder investigation, but might have information crucial to understanding the events of January 22.
