Altrincham Kersal 24 Blackburn 6 ALTHOUGH Altrincham Kersal went on the offensive from the kick off and kept play mainly in the Blackburn half, it was the visitors who were first to get points on the board when their scrum half Paul Bleasdale slotted a penalty.

But the visitors will have felt hard done by after putting in a workmanlike perfomance and enjoying plenty of the ball. But whereas they missed a couple of sitters, Altrincham scored five excellently taken goals.
