REGARDING the empty shops in Altrincham. We now have bargain shops that sell anything from a tin of beans to bed spreads. Does that not tell you that the people need the small shops that were taken away?
It seems that the cost in rent and tax are so big. Why have the larger shops not been turned into two businesses so as to share the cost?
Altrincham was a market town – that means small place. The buildings of Altrincham were our history and that brought trade.
