THE roads in Flixton, Urmston, and Davyhulme are a disgrace.
If Trafford Council had raised everyone’s council tax by £1 per week (£52 per year) and not introduced the ‘fee for green/garden waste’ then the council would have gained more income, because all residents would be paying and not just those who are having their garden waste taken away.
Trafford Council need to take pride in the area and if this means losing the ‘cheapest council tax’ hat, then so be it.
It is not only the roads in the area that are suffering. The general appearance is, with unkempt grass verges, weeds on the roadside, grass around road signs, lamp posts and flower beds not being trimmed, unswept roads and a failure to cut back overhanging trees and foliage.
