THIS is a public letter to thank Wayne Devlin from myself and my friends who adore not only Wayne's beautiful voice but also what he does for our community.

A few weeks ago, he was performing again, free of charge, for the community in Paint Urmston Pink for Prevent Breast Cancer.

Using his skills as a vocalist to help raise funds. This is nothing new to Wayne.

Ever since I've known of him I have seen his name attached to every charity and community group in the area.

In a profession where there is much competition and I imagine it's hard to earn a living with so much competition, I have seen Wayne turn up and perform for free on an evening when he could be performing at a very well paid event.

It is very admirable.

I have seen Wayne perform on several occasions and I am always impressed with not only his fantastic singing but also his manners and his respect to others of all ages.

I wanted to treat Wayne so, as he is a Frank Sinatra fan I ordered him a very special bottle of Sinatra's favourite tipple. Jack Daniels.

Messenger Newspapers:

This particular bottle is the Sinatra Select. A commemorative bottle to the late Frank Sinatra.

I had it inscribed with a few simple words. 'For All You Do'. These four little words may be simple but they sum up Wayne perfectly.

He does everything for everyone. He gives but asks for nothing. He does so much for those who need assistance. So, I wanted to give him a gift to let him know that he is appreciated.

Enjoy your tipple Wayne and keep doing all the good things you do for our community.

I hope all of Trafford will join me in raising a glass to toast Wayne, the man with the golden voice and the largest of hearts. Our local champion. Here's to you Wayne!
