I HAVE no issue with the rise in council tax as long as this increase in revenue is spent on social care, the lack of such care in Trafford is absolutely appalling.
I hate to think what will happen by the time I may need social care (I'm now 57).
As far as the charge for garden waste removal - what on earth does this council think it's playing at? We have been encouraged over the years to recycle, recycle, recycle!
We are now being charged to recycle garden waste! What does the council think will happen?
Probably the grey bin will be used for food waste (as in the past), garden waste may also be put in the grey bin-worse still, It may be dumped elsewhere!
Is this the start of things to come? Will we be faced with a charge for paper waste next? Then perhaps a charge for glass, plastic and cans?
This council needs to wake up-how can they justify a rise in council tax, then a charge for removing garden and food waste? GET REAL TRAFFORD COUNCIL!
