THOUGH a mere layman, and not an expert on Mosaic Law,it would seem to me that the concept of the 'Eruv' seems to be a way of getting around the law that no work was to be done on the Sabbath.
This seems to me to be a modern concept to get round an archaic law.
Surely either one abides by the original word or one does not?
The Eruv seems to me a way around a fundamental concept concerning the Sabbath, brought about by modernists who want to move away from an archaic idea, but pretend that they are not.
If this is allowed to proceed ,who knows where it will end?
Will we have poles and wires around all our towns to satisfy a minority who wish to circumvent a Law by which they no longer wish to abide?
