THE time has come to choose.

Yes, we could reduce legal immigration by leaving the EU. But most immigration is from outside the EU.

And illegal immigration? Well, the border wouldn't be in Calais any more.

The cost? Trade barriers to 44 per cent of our exports. One in 10 jobs linked to the EU potentially affected. The opportunity to work in 27 countries closed to our children.

They say we would forge our own trading links with the rest of the world. But the president of the USA says we will be at the back of the queue.

In 14/15 inward investment from overseas created 85,000 jobs and safeguarded 23,000. Please judge if you think that would continue.

Of course Barrack Obama, the Governor of the Bank of England, the International Monetary Fund, the Chancellor, Shadow Chancellor may all be wrong. But would you bet your children's and grandchildren's future on it?

Fifty million people died in wars in the first half of the twentieth century, but only 50,000 in the second half. I'll vote for that.

We are our own unique people, and we are one of the peoples of Europe. Geography, history, culture, values. Great Britain, a great part of a great continent.

Since when have we been quitters? We face the future with courage, solidarity, optimism, realism.

Let's lead not leave. Vote Remain!
