I AM amazed that a child, adult or dog has not been injured or killed by the adults who race along Manchester Road and Alma Road delivering children to Tyntesfield Primary School in Sale or collecting them.

One adult often has his child sat on his handlebars, as people have to jump out of the way for him. Another races along first, with her small children following on bikes.

I do understand that it is a grey area allowing children to cycle on pavements, although I have seen many riding too fast and close to the edge of the road. I don't, however, accept that grown adults should be doing it.

I know the school has expressed concerns about this; but I assume the culprits will ignore their requests, just as the drivers who park on the yellow lines outside the school ignore the safety of everyone else.
