I WAS cycling along Church Road, near to Flixton Golf Club and in the direction of Flixton, at about 7.50pm on January 18.

I saw a car coming in the opposite direction at a very high speed. I would guess it was doing about 60mph in a 30 mph zone. Shortly afterwards another car overtook me doing about 50mph.

I find it amazing that there is no fixed speed camera on this road which is used as a race track by some idiot drivers.

I understand there is sometimes a mobile camera on this road but I seldom see one.

Trafford Council should not delay the installation of a fixed speed camera until after there has been a fatality.

This needs to be done urgently to try to prevent the dangerous driving on this stretch of road which is now common-place.

The camera should be positioned near the dip on Church Road.
