A hen sparrowhawk
READER John Thompson, of Timperley, took this photo of a hen sparrowhawk eating a pigeon, on January 9.
John said: "It was making a meal of freshly caught pigeon right on my front door step.
It showed absolutely no concern at me watching it, just gave me the eye when I took the photo."
