I was quite surprised to see Bill Botham portrayed as a victim in the story about the 'Phantom Space' (Messenger June 18).
I've used that particular Timperley car park regularly over the years and have never considered parking in that so-called 'Phantom Space', because, despite what Mr Botham claims, it really doesn't look like a proper space.
The fact that I have only ever seen a handful of cars parked there, even when the car park is full, would suggest that the vast majority of people can clearly see it wasn't an appropriate place to park.
