I AM disappointed to see that Trafford Council gave the go-ahead last year to planning approval for the 4G mobile phone masts which have been erected around Flixton and Urmston.
I find these tall and bulbous masts very unattractive and a disfigurement of our local roads and neighbourhood, particularly the one near Flixton station.
I am informed that they need to be on main roads for 4G to work. All so people can download internet material faster on their mobile phones.
Perhaps 4G should be sent back to development so that this intrusive siting is unnecessary.
I think it is wrong if technological advances mean that our environment has to be made uglier by these monstrosities.
