ON Sunday, October 20, I fell on the pavement in Friars Road, Sale, and cut my head on a low wall.

My partner was trying to help me up when a very kind young man came to our assistance to help me get up from the floor.

His partner brought me a towel to stop the flow of blood from a wound on the back of my head.

The young man offered to call an ambulance but my partner decided that it would be easier to drive to Accident and Emergency and so they helped me into the back of my car.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank the young couple for their help and I would like to try and return the cleaned towel to them and to thank them personally.

I am unsure which house/flat they were from on Friars Road but if they could get in touch with me via this newspaper then that would be much appreciated.

Thanks once again for helping me in what was a very distressing situation for both me and my partner.
