I AM really upset with Trafford Council.

It was asked weeks ago to allow us, on behalf of Operation Christmas Child, the use of one of the empty shops in the area so that we could pack our shoe boxes with scarves, hats, gloves, wash things, pencils etc, a toy and a soft toy to send to deprived children in camps, orphanages, hospitals and poor homes in eastern Europe and as far away as Africa.

The council has never come back to us with an offer.

Surely, three weeks in November in an empty shop is not too much to ask – and the public would notice us and some would drop off their filled boxes or single items.

Come on, Trafford Council, show us you have a heart buried somewhere.
