VOTING has started for Messenger’s Talented Trafford competition.
Videos for a total of 18 acts – five in the adult category and 13 in the 17 and under age group – are on the Messenger website and you can now phone or text for your favourite.

Voting lines will stay open until September 1.
The top acts will go through to face a panel of judges at the live final on the afternoon of September 15, at the Cinnamon Club, at the Bowdon Rooms, in Bowdon.
The competition is sponsored by J Davidson Scrap Metal Processors and money raised from the event will go to the Messenger-backed charity Hearts and Minds Challenge which is aiming to raise £1million to build a specialist school for children with autism.
Messenger editor Keith Morris said: “We thought there were some really talented people out there and we weren’t disappointed.
“The standard of entries is remarkably high and I’m looking forward to seeing the finalists perform live. It should be a great event.”
