TRAFFORD FC face two mouth-watering friendlies in the space of four days when they entertain newly promoted Conference Premier outfit Altrincham, on Saturday, kick off 3pm, and then a Manchester United Xl on Tuesday evening, kick off 7-30pm.
Following three comfortable victories at Sandbach United, Old Stretfordians and Penycae, manager Garry Vaughan will be looking forward to a sterner test of his squad's abilities.
However, despite a good deal of interest in several of his young charges, Vaughan has only lost the services of left back Andy Smart who has been tempted by the take-over of Salford City by the 'Boys of '92'.
Trafford have been rather unfortunate in the draws for the FA competitions with two away ties.
In the FA Cup on September 13, they play the winners of the Warrington Town, Barton Town and Abbey Hey fixtures, and in the FA Trophy on November 1, they travel to either Brighouse Town or Ossett Town.
