Young footballers from Flixton Falcons Under-14s have clinched a fantastic double triumph at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

The team won the league and cup in the Timperley District League, beating local rivals Urmston Meadowside in the cup final and also pipping them to the title in the league. Ollie Yates scored the winner in the 1-0 cup final win, with Jaden Simpson named player-of-the-match.

Falcons coach, Danny Bunting, was naturally delighted for his team and said: “It was brilliant to win the cup against our rivals, but to win the league is a real achievement and I’m so proud of this team.”
