THE honours went to the Altrincham and Sale Round the Board Darts League in the first ever inter-league match against Grappenhall on Monday.
The match, which was the best of 21 games, took place at the central Club in Broadheath and went right to the wire as the hosts won 11-10.
The first game was won by Andy McCormack on behalf of Altrincham and Sale but then Grappenhall took the next two games.
The hosts then hit form with fantastic wins from Andy Kindred, Manor, Danny O’Donnell, Anthony B, and Kevin Legg putting them 6-3 in front.
It was then the Grappenhall league’s turn to hit back with some superb wins of their own taking out strong Altrincham and Sale players like Darren Buckley, Steve De, Dennis and Dave Wood to make it 9-7 to Altrincham and Sale.
Youngster Chris White, of Central Club, then beat Geoff Talbot in a tense game that took Altrincham and Sale to within one game of the match.
With two games left to play Callum, from the Cringlewood Club, took up the reins for the hosts to clinch the trophy for Altrincham and Sale.
