TRAFFORD MV Rugby Club have their eyes set firmly on the season ahead with an itinerary set to give them a good start to the season in North Lancs Division One.

With a new Director of Rugby Andrew Hope and the return of Ben Wheeler as captain MV are looking to the seasons challenge with a renewed vigour.

Training sessions have been well attended and following on from the recent Rugby 10's tournament hosted by MV the club now embarks on a series of friendlies to hone their match fitness.

Friendlies are lined up against Bowdon (August 8), Manchester (August 19), Windermere (Pre-season training camp August 22) and Ashton on Mersey on the 25th.

The club are keen to recruit new players at all levels whether it is to compete aggressively for a 1st XV spot or to play a more social style of rugby on the 3rd XV - all equally important at the club.

Excellent facilities are provided and the club continues to invest in these amenities offering the best amateur provisions in the area.

The club are also running a Colts XV this season and welcomes any teenage rugby players who may wish to play for the Colts this season or in the future.
