THE new Walking Football sessions at Walton Park Sports Centre in Sale have been a great success, say organisers.
Wednesday afternoon matches have taken place and the footballers who have tried it have been surprised how energetic it actually is., according to sessions organiser Dom McKenzie.
"They've loved being able to play a slower version of the game they love, meet new friends and help themselves keep fit. Several ladies have been down to try their 'hand' at the new venture; and thanks to the Messenger we've had about 30 enquiries," said Dom.
In order to keep up with demand a Friday evening session has now been added for 7:pm. All are welcome and it's free during March. Just let Dom know - text your details to 07980336760 or e-mail him on dommckenzie6760@hotmail.co.uk - and he'll greet you either on Wednesdays or Fridays.
