YEAR 10 students at Flixton Girls School were treated to an up close and personal wild bird of prey visit recently.
Wild Wings Bird of Prey rescue, education and rehabilitation centre, based in Glazebury, attended the school and brought a variety of birds of prey for the student to research, including various owls.
The event was part of their GCSE coursework project in Art. they were able to collect photographs, video footage and make their own sketches of the birds.
This will be used to produce a final sculpture from textiles as well as creating an abstract piece of work as part of their GCSE Art course.
The students and staff thanked Wild Wings Bird of Prey for bringing the birds along and for their assistance in explaining the physical features of each of the birds.
