FLIXTON Girls' School put on a Harry Potter Day to welcome girls from the area's primary schools - Urmston Juniors, St Mary’s and English Martyrs.
The focus of the day was to develop skills in English, Maths and Science around the theme of Harry Potter.
Pupils and staff dressed up as characters from Harry Potter; taking part in some creative writing and character descriptions in English, potion creation classes in science plus stretch and challenge maths activities focusing on potion ingredients.
The school's Year 8 student ambassadors supported the event and assisted the visiting pupils.
The day culminated with a Harry Potter quiz where English Martyrs was crowned the winning team..
Sophie Lee Manford, a teacher from St Mary’s, said: "A huge thank you for inviting us the event. The pupils and staff have really enjoyed our visit.
"Well done and thank you to all involved.’
As part of a joint primary liaison initiative, Wellacre Academy welcomed the boys from the primary schools.
