Warning after reports of suspicious man "peering through windows and trying front doors"
POLICE are asking homeowners to be vigilant after reports of a suspicious man peering through windows and trying front doors in Timperley.
GMP Trafford South said officers received calls about the man approaching houses in Park Road on Wednesday afternoon.
When he was approached by home owner, the man claimed he was looking for work.
The man is described as wearing grey jogging bottoms and a navy parker jacket.
Officers are reminding residents to ensure external doors are locked at all times.
Report suspicious behaviour to police on 101.
