DIVERTED traffic from Mancunian Way have yet more delays to contend with as part of the A56 in Trafford is closed.
One lane on the dual carriageway at its junction with Warwick Road is currently closed because of roadworks.
Chester Road is already experiencing a higher volume of traffic because of the closure of Mancunian Way, which is due to reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, at 6am.
Traffic travelling out of the city towards Trafford is queueing back to White City roundabout. Yesterday, traffic was gridlocked at the same roundabout because of a traffic lights failure.
Transport for Greater Manchester is encouraging motorists to consider Park and Ride for the remainder of the Mancunian Way closure.
