A PLASTIC surgeon, who stars in a new daytime BBC series, has been named a top doc.

Gary Ross, who works from BMI The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by the patient review website I Want Great Care.

The excellence award is given to surgeons who receive regular patient reviews on the site, with consistently high scores across the reviews, through the year.

Winners are those who are considered to put the patient experience and outcome at the core of their work.

Gary, aged 44, who lives in Sale with his wife and two daughters, has spent half of his twenty years’ experience working from BMI The Alexandra Hospital, and is the only UK plastic surgeon to be named in the Top 500 of the RealSelf patient review website for three consecutive years.

An accredited consultant plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon, Gary provides cutting-edge surgery, including a fat-transfer breast procedure and uses the latest 3D technology to help patients see how they will look after surgery.

Gary is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester and a Global Educator for Johnson and Johnson.

He appeared in an episode of the new BBC1 Series ‘Holding Back The Years’ with Arlene Philips, on at 9.15am on Thursday March 30.
