PARALYMPIC gold medallist Steve Bate called into Sale's Park Road Primary School.
Steve, who won winner two golds and a bronze medal in cycling at the recent Rio Paralympics, visited the school to talk to the children about his achievements and how he has overcome the barriers of impaired vision to follow his dream.
Steve, and his fellow GB team member Jon Gildea, held a school assembly for all pupils and staff and even brought along the three Paralympic medals, which all the children got a chance to hold.
The pupils also shared their dreams with the athletes and asked questions.
They learnt that despite Steve's limited vision, he was able to persevere and achieve his goals.
