Sale

SALE Partnership has launched its ‘Make Sale Smile’ Voluntary Sector Grant scheme - and groups have until May 6 to apply for funding.

There are grants available of up to £1,500 (constituted groups) and up to £500 (small groups of people).

Applicants from the area will be able to bid for a share of the £20,000 pot that will ultimately deliver projects to benefit Sale and its residents. A drop-in session for guidance with applications will be held on April 19, 4-6pm at Sale Moor Community Partnership, 355-359 Norris Road.

Councillor John Lamb, executive member for communities and partnerships, said: “We are delighted to be offering two levels of grants to ‘Make Sale Smile’ in 2016 and encourage neighbours and individuals to apply alongside established groups to turn their ideas into reality”.

Applicants applying for the £500 grant will be invited to a networking event on May 11 to meet and share ideas with other candidates and local residents, while those meeting the criteria for the £1,500 grant will be invited to attend a public vote on June 19.
