AN Elderly man suffered smoke inhalation after a pan fire at his Partington home.
Crews from Sale and Altrincham fire stations were called to the property, on Chamomile Walk, at around 1am on New Year’s Day.
Firefighters found that a pan of food had been left unattended on a cooker and that while the fire had been put out, the house was heavily smoke logged.
The crews cleared the smoke with a high pressure fan and the pensioner was treated by a fire service trauma technician.
