TRAFFORD’S Mayor, Cllr Dylan Butt, pictured centre, attended a launch event at the Partington community nature reserve, adjacent to the SAICA paper mill.
Cllr Dylan Butt said he was delighted to open the, Partington Community Nature Reserve, known as the ‘Partington Green Gym’.
He said: “This is the formation of a great partnership between the: environmental charity the Conservation Volunteers (TCV); Intu Trafford Centre and the community.
“I am confident that with the participation of the community over the next few years this nature reserve will become a star attraction for visitors.
“The habitat which already supports a wide variety of butterflies and insects will also be hugely beneficial as an educational experience for local children who can learn more about their natural environment and how to preserve it.”
