FRIENDS Sheila Heraghty Smith and Denise Laver decided to do something different for spring, by organising a ‘Crocus Walk’ in Altrincham’s John Leigh Park to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.
The walks, run nationwide, are a great way for friends, family and neighbours to get together and enjoy the great outdoors.
“This is something which anyone can take part in and does not require a lot of physical strength,” said Sheila.
After the walk, participants got together for coffee and cakes - supplied by friends and neighbours and members of Jabberwocks, the junior section of Hale Civic Society.
