NEW images have been released that reveal how the landscape of Altrincham is set to be changed by the multi-million pound Altair development.

The £70m scheme will see the construction of four buildings offering one, two and three bedroom apartments, leisure retail space and offices plus parking for 200 cars.

Developer Nikal says the buildings will be set within a stunning new public realm - one of the largest new public spaces to be created in Altrincham - offering residents, shoppers and workers an area to relax and socialise.

Now potential purchasers are being given the opportunity to be the first to reside in the Altair Quarter as apartments in Phase One go on sale at 9am on Saturday, July 1.

The rest of the development is planned to be completed in two further phases.

Latest CGIs released by Nikal show how the development will look as viewed from the Tesco store in Moss Lane and how the corner of Oakfield Road and Moss Lane will be transformed. There is also an image of the planned boulevard area.

During phase one, 59 one and two bedroom apartments and penthouses will be built.

These released for sale with reservations being taken this weekend at the offices of appointed agents, Gascoigne Halman in Altrincham.

The planned future phases will deliver a further 85 apartments.

The residential phase of Altair is being delivered by Nikal’s award winning luxury homebuilding arm, Hillcrest Homes.

Hillcrest Managing Director, Michael Kennedy, said: “The style, the space, the specification and the location all make Altair an incredibly attractive proposition to apartment seekers, as well as investors.

“Altrincham is a fantastic place to live, work, shop, socialise and invest. Thanks to the vision and hard work of the council, local business groups and residents, the town is enjoying a renaissance and is an incredibly desirable area to relocate to.”

On the eighth floor of Altair One will be a residents’ roof garden with views across to the Cheshire plains. This private space will feature comfortable seating, decking and planting creating a stunning venue for socialising with neighbours, friends and family.

Adam Ravenscroft, manager at Gascoigne Halman Altrincham said: “Altair is at the forefront of the continued development and resurgence of Altrincham town centre.

“The scheme has already received significant interest and we expect this to remain following the launch of reservations this weekend with purchasers recognising both the quality of the apartments and significance of this new Lifestyle Quarter.”

The first release of apartments within Altair One will go on sale at 9am on Saturday, July 1 with reservations being taken at Gascoigne Halman’s offices at 26 The Downs, Altrincham, WA14 2PU. One-bedroom apartments are priced from £158,750 and two-bedroom apartments are priced from £261,250.
