ALTRINCHAM Football club is inviting comedy and curry lovers to come along for an evening of fun on November 18, in aid of the charity, the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT).

Guests will be entertained by a host of fantastic comedians from the stable of charity patron Jason Manford, as Manford’s Comedy Clubs will be providing not one but three comics for the event. They will also be treated to a choice of three delicious curries!

The charity provides holidays and daytrips throughout the year to terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the North West. From November 21 to December 21 the charity will be providing Christmas parties at its Cheshire base every day for 22 days.

Its festive grand finale will take place at the Bowdon Rooms on December 21 when 300 children will be given a magical festive experience.

Rob Bashforth, community fundraiser at CAFT, has been working with AFC on the event and comments: “This promises to be a fantastic night, and we’re so grateful that the club has decided it should be in aid of us. "We’re also delighted that our patron, Jason Manford, is supporting the event by supplying some brilliant comedians through Manford’s Comedy Clubs to keep guests entertained. The club is sure to put on a generous spread with three curries on offer. I think we’re all in for a side-splitting and belly-busting night! The money raised at the event will change the lives of children who are in desperate need, together we can make a huge difference.”

Altrincham Football Club Chairman, Grahame Rowley, has expressed support of CAFT: “We have had an ongoing relationship with CAFT over the past five to six years, attending their annual open day is always a highlight in our calendar. Altrincham Football Club are keen to support local charities and help in the community, this comedy night is a great chance for local people to come along and support a good cause.”
