THEATRE studies cover a vast amount of different subjects and learning skills and Altrincham Creative Theatre School’s junior section ACT I recently undertook a workshop in one of them - make up.

This was run by Charlote Hemming with help from her assistant, Hannah Dawson.

After a brief introduction, the students were all issued with tissues, sponges, make up sticks and make up and under the careful supervision and guidance of Charlote and Hannah began to make each other and themselves up.

Burns, bruises, black eyes and the odd bullet wound soon began to appear.

Charlote has been a make up artist in this field for three years now and has worked on a variety of productions including ’Cats’ and ’The Merchant of Venice’ to name but two. The workshop was a great success.

Auditions for A.C.T.S will take place at 10.30am on Saturday, September 3 at ACT I’ s meeting place, the large Unitarian Chapel School Room on Sylvan Grove, off Dunham Road, Altrincham, WA14 4NX . Boys in particular will be very welcome.
