A MAN has been arrested following an early morning raid at the TK Maxx store in Altrincham.
The burglary took place at Altrincham Retail Park store, in George Richards Way, in the early hours of Monday May 16.
Intruders smashed the front window with an iron grid to get into the store and fled with a stash of goods.
Some hours after the burglary, a moped travelling a high speed ran a red light and narrowly avoided careering into a police car. The driver lost control of the moped and crashed on Brownley Road, in Sharston.
He was chased by officer on foot and caught by the police but a passenger escaped.
The rider was arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft of a moped and dangerous driving.
