TIMPERLEY-based charity fundraising group The Thirty Three raked in a four figure sum at its successful summer fair, held at Timperley Conservative Club on July 17.

The group raised £5460 for worthy causes in the community.

Attractions included music from the Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band, auctions, shopping trolleys and children’s games.

Chairman John Everton said: “The sun shone on us once again, and we were brilliantly supported by our friends and families.

"This truly was a team effort, and we were delighted to have done so well. Thank you to everybody who made the event such a success.”

The 33 are particularly grateful to Eamon Mulvey (coach, Manchester United), UK Fast, Ridgeway Nurseries, Sale Sharks, Mary Peacock, Signalize, Wayne Ninian Carpets, Barry Kelly School of Motoring, Deli Bakery (Heyes Lane), Gardener’s Arms and Taste India (Timperley Village) for their support for the summer fair.
