A PUB quiz organised by Sale’s Synagogue raised £1,000.
The annual Shul Quiz, now the Hale and Hound Pub Quiz, saw 125 brainiacs turn up for the evening and battle it out in 12 teams, of which The Rabbis Return emerged victorious.
They pipped Fress and Belch by just a point while third place went to The Dog and Lulav and The Golden Bagel for last place was collected by Portnoy’s Complaint.
The Pearl suite was dressed up to look ‘Pub Chic’ and those who attended enjoyed a dinner of fish, chips and mushy peas in Hale Barns’ most prestigious general knowledge accolade.
The fundraising team would like to thank all those who made the event possible, particularly I&M for the food, UTC for Sound & tech, Speciality Linens, the lighting company and the dedicated members of council for their support.
