A GROUP that helps female entrepreneurs run small businesses has celebrated its fifth anniversary.
To celebrate their five year milestone, Handbags & Briefcases will host a fun-filled evening tomorrow, November 14, at The Moorfield, on Marsland Road in Sale.
Members of the public interested in potentially joining the society are also welcome to attend the evening and have the chance for them to meet current members.
Kate Naylor was one of the group’s first members.
She said: “Handbags & Briefcases is an excellent networking group that helped me when I first started my business, Bumps & Bashes. It's a very friendly group. Starting any business can be a lonely place, but I think a group like this is invaluable."
Handbags & Briefcases was established in Wythenshawe by volunteers and women who ran small business themselves. They received help from National Lottery funding and aim to support businesses at a minimal cost.
