ALTRINCHAM Rotary Club is backing the relief efforts to aid the Philippines, which suffered massive devastation when it was hit by Typhoon Haiyan at the weekend.
More than 10,000 people are believed to have been killed in just one area of the Philippines. There is no clean water, no electricity and very little food.
The Altrincham Rotary Club is appealing for donations and all funds collected will go to providing ‘emergency boxes’.
These boxes will contain tents, clothes, cooking equipment, water filters etc. and can be shipped out quickly.
