ALTRINCHAM’S Village Toy Company is one of the first shops in the country to receive a Toymark Award.
The accolade comes from Let Toys Be Toys, a parent-led consumer group.
Village Toy Company specialises in traditional, wooden and educational toys, inspired by retro and vintage with a modern twist.
The shop does not split toys into ‘boys’ and ‘girls’ sections, a move that Let Toys Be Toys says has been welcomed by many families, and which is the essence of the Toymark Good Practice Award.
Lisa McCarthy, of Village Toy Company, said, "We are really pleased to have been one of the first toy shops to receive a Toymark award."
