AN apprentice mechanic attacked his 17-year-old partner during a bust up over feeding their baby.
Michael Bates, 20, lost his temper and punched the young mum and threatened to ‘smash her face in’, magistrates in Manchester heard.
Prosecutor Holly Holden said he also put her in a head lock and punched her again.
Bates, of Old Hall Road, Stretford, admitted a charge of assaulting his now ex-partner and ordered to pay her £100 compensation.
He was given a six month community order with supervision and told to pay £200 prosecution costs.
Miss Holden said Bates was sick after coming home drunk.
A row erupted when he fell asleep after being asked to feed the baby in the early hours of August 17.
