CHILDREN and young people have helped improve a website about mental health and wellbeing.

The website, www.withuinmind.nhs.uk is run by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.

It was created with help from young people from Trafford, Bury, Rochdale. Oldham, Tameside and Stockport who use the service along with their families.

The youngsters were keen to make the website more welcoming and helped develop an animated video about their experiences of coming to CAMHS which can be viewed on the site.

The site also includes updates about the service, self-help resources for young people and information for families and professionals.

CAMHS manager, Jason Smith, said the site would be used to raise awareness of mental health difficulties in children and young people, help them to access support and provide advice for their loved ones during what can be a challenging time.
