NATIONAL disability charity United Response is hosting two election events on April 15 and 22 in the community centre at St Matthew’s Church Hall, Chapel Lane, Stretford.

They are being held to enable political candidates and people with disabilities to meet.

Liberal Democrat candidate Louise Ankers will be attending the first get together on April 15, 9.30am-12.30pm.  

Following this, Labour's Kate Green, Conservative candidate Lisa Cooke and Peter Forrester, democratic and performance services manager from Trafford Council will attend a further session on April 22, 9.30am-12.30pm.  Both events are free to all attendees.

Both the events are being held foR people supported by the charity as well as anyone else in the area with a learning disability who would like to attend.

They complement Every Vote Counts, a campaign set up by United Response to open up democracy to the 1.5 million adults with learning disabilities in the UK.
