WELLACRE Academy hosted award winning inspirational speaker and reformed drug user Paul Hannaford.
His testimony focuses on drugs, knife crime, gang culture and prison life and is a hard hitting and personal account of the gruesome and brutal reality of life as a heroin and crack cocaine addict.
Pupils were captivated by the visitor's honest and gritty personal account and many pupils have cited it as exceptionally thought provoking and riveting.
The talk forms part of Wellacre Academy's RESPECT curriculum and its leader Sinead Hosty said that it was a fantastic experience for all of the boys to experience for the students.
