PAST and present came together at Springfield Primary School in Sale when the 107 year old school building became part of SPS’s recently built extension.
The ‘topping out’ ceremony also included the planting of a willow tree, a symbol of people’s ability to adapt to change.
In July last year, part of the school was demolished to enable Springfield to become a three rather than a two form entry school.
