FLIXTON Girls’ School (FGS) pupil Laci Farrell is flying high after winning silver in a national team gymnastics competition.
The Year Nine student was competing in the Bill Slater Team competition - an event that attracts some of the top clubs in the country, The event includes four disciplines: the bars, the beam, the floor and the vault. Laci was representing her Club, Bury team A, and competed in all four disciplines, demonstrating skill and stamina throughout to deliver second place.
She has been a gymnast enthusiast since she was seven years old and FGS supports her by letting her go home early for coaching sessions.
Laci, who attends Bury Gymnastics Club said: “There were lots of competitors so I was really pleased to win a medal for my team."
