STEPHEN McHugh has been installed as the new President for the Altrincham Rotary Club.
Stephen, who comes from Manchester, aims to boost the membership of the club during his year in office.
He was educated at St Winifred's School and went on to Sheffield Hallam University studying public policy.
During his career he has worked his way up from a supermarket employee, working in a call centre and BUPA insurance, following a course at university as a capacity planning specialist. He currently works as planning consultant for the care home sector.
His interests include working with the community, urban regeneration and politics.
He will be pursuing the Rotary Club's 'purple4polio' campaign to help eradicate polio worldwide, an ongoing Rotary project and planting more crocus corms in the area to make a splash next spring.
He says he is looking forward to the challenges and getting the Rotary name into the community, with more and more projects both locally and internationally .
