THE Counselling and Family Centre has opened its latest facility in Altrincham - the Cafe in the Park.
Based in Stamford Park, the cafe is a welcoming place to meet friends, while enjoying a cuppa and a piece of cake.
Volunteers, friends and staff all came together on June 17 to celebrate the opening of the café by MP Graham Brady.
It is open for business after three years of fund raising and thanks to the generosity of the centre's many supporters.
Currently open Wednesday and Thursday mornings, and all day on Fridays and Saturdays, the opening hours will be extended over the summer.
New volunteers are very welcome. So if you are looking to gain new skills or pass on old ones, get in touch on 0161 941 7754 or email cafe@thecfc.org.uk.
The café will also provide free or low cost space for community groups.
It hosts one-off events, welcoming the George Allen Appreciation Society over its opening weekend with an exhibition of art ‘Past, Present and Future’.
