FIREFIGHTERS rescued a pet dog from a Hale Barns garden last night.
Crews from Altrincham and Eccles fire stations were called to the garden on Carrwood, off Chapel Lane, at around 9.15pm.
It is thought the wayward pooch had got into a neighbour’s garden and become trapped in a five metre deep pit.
The Green Watch firefighters used man power and a ladder to rescue the dog, which was described as friendly by the crews.
