Tyres worth £9,000 stolen from Sale garage
1:06pm Friday 23rd November 2012 in News By Kate Banks, Reporter
THIEVES stole tyres worth £9,000 after breaking into a Sale garage.
The incident occurred at National Tyres on Washway Road, between 7.15am on November 5 and 7.15am on November 6.
The offenders entered the property on more than one occasion and stole a large number of Pirelli and Continental tyres.
Det Con David Stevenson from Streford CID, said: “I'd ask people to be vigilant and if you are in the trade or, in fact, anyone who is offered Pirelli or continental tyres at a heavily reduced price, please have a think about where they might have come from.
“If you were in the area on the Monday night and saw anyone acting suspiciously, please contact me.
“It is important we find those responsible and give the shop owners some peace of mind in seeing them behind bars.”
Anyone with information is asked to call officers in Stretford on 0161 856 7652 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
